Reports from Rome on Reuters say that it looks like Michael Moore’s Oscar-winning film ‘Capitalism: A Love Story‘ could well come away as overall winner at the Venice Film Festival.
Six US films have been nominated at the world’s oldest film festival – a sure sign that the writers strike did nothing to prevent the return of the US film-business.
This year there will be 24 film in the contest – one of which is yet to be unveiled – and both France and Italy will be featuring heavily this year. Both countries have four films each representing them.
The event starts on Sept 2nd and runs until Sept 12th.
